I launched the consultancy 22 years ago having spent the first part of my career in marketing and public relations with a number of multinational companies where I was involved with advertising, marketing services and public relations agencies not only in the United Kingdom and Ireland but also in North America and the Middle and Far East.
The abiding characteristic of many of those agencies was that the principals who were involved at the beginning of the relationship and who were the main reason for hiring the company concerned, gradually disappeared off the account to appear only on special occasions, leaving the day-to-day care of the business in the hands of less experienced executives.
That experience provided an invaluable lesson. I realised that there was an opportunity to create a consultancy that could make a real difference to clients if I was to commit to being personally involved with their business over the long term.
Over two decades later I’m pleased to say that commitment has provided the basis for the consultancy’s success. Yes, it has limited it’s ability to expand but the rewards have more than compensated in terms of the quality of our client relationships and the service provided.
