London Irish confirms player movements for 2009-10

London Irish today (1st July) announced details of its confirmed player movements as it prepares for the start of the 2009-10 season.
Seven senior players join the club for the start of pre-season training this month while seven move on. Four players are promoted from the Academy to the senior squad and eight new players join the club’s Academy.
Commenting on the player movements London Irish Head Coach, Toby Booth said, “Recruitment is the most important element in maintaining success. We have continued to adopt a quality rather than a quantity approach as well as developing and rewarding our home grown talent.
“We’re committed as a club, and to our fans, to producing a competitive squad within wage cap constraints that can compete at the highest level. We’re looking forward with much anticipation to the new season to continue our improvement.”
